ACLDT, together with Gleneagles Hospital which is wholly-owned by Parkway Group Healthcare, offers a one-stop medical hub to cater to the needs of patients with liver diseases.
The Liver Ward and its dedicated Liver Intensive Care Unit (LICU) are equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment for the treatment of patients with liver diseases of varying stages. As it takes at least one week to organize an appropriate liver transplant for a patient with acute liver failure, liver dialysis acts as a bridge to liver transplantation. At the LICU, we use various liver dialysis devices during this period to support the patients through their liver failure until transplantation can be performed. Having different liver dialysis devices not only allow us to customize the treatment according to each patient’s condition, it also makes us unique in being the only commercial centre in the world to do so.
We are the first private institution in Asia to put in place a multi-disciplinary medical team with vast expertise and extensive experience in the treatment and management of liver diseases and surgery. Such scope ensures optimal care and treatment of patients and the ensuing recovery period.
